I saw a young couple walking by the small river. They had a simple bottle of wine, plastic cups, and nowhere to go — just a bench, laughter, and time. They didn’t seem to need a destination; the act of being there was enough.
In Korea, dating often meant searching — searching for a famous restaurant, the perfect café, a view worth driving two hours for. Most of the time was spent moving, not being. Here, it felt like the opposite. The stillness was the event.
It made me wonder — who wrote this code of happiness? Which world teaches people that joy doesn’t require motion, only presence? In Gori, time flows loosely — and that looseness feels right.
